Procedure within the Institute to arrive at or reach an academic decision regarding the dispute or question relating to the academic processes or procedures.
"Have Your Say" Form:
Brisbane North Institute of TAFE's procedure used to resolve non-conformance & improve the Quality Management System.
Informal options for resolving grievances within the Institute
1. Informal approach to staff member, for instance a teacher, international student officer or student adviser.
2. Complete a Customer Feedback Form
- Mediation
- If resolution is unsatisfactory, International Students may seek formal options.
Formal options for resolving grievances within the Institute
1. Appeal in writing to the Institute, for instance, an international student officer, a Faculty Director or the Institute Director
- Mediation
- If resolution within the Institute is not satisfactory, international students may seek external formal options.
Formal options for resolving grievances external to the Institute
1. Contact the Manager, Queensland Education Overseas Unit.
2. Contact the Department of Education, Training & Industrial Relations Director General, to share concerns about the conduct of Brisbane North Institute of TAFE.
The Director General has the power under the Act to suspend or cancel the registration of a provider or a course.
3. Seek other legal remedies.
