Student self service

BNIT is making it easier and more convenient to complete your enrolment, check your results, or to keep your student details up-to-date.

Student Self Service offers a quick and simple way to enrol online and maintain your student records. It allows you to quickly and easily change your personal details, view and print your academic records, and make payments to your student account.

Once you have registered for this service you can:

  • enrol into your program (not available for all courses)
  • make a payment (via BPAY or credit card)
  • view your TAFE student account
  • update your personal details
  • view your academic results
  • view and print your Academic Transcript

New to Student Self Service?

To get started with Student Self Service, first you'll need to register using the instructions below.

To register for Student Self Service:

  1. Go to TAFE Queensland - Self Service.
  2. Click on the 'Register' button located under the Student Registration heading. You will require the following to complete your registration online:
    • a valid and functional email address
    • your home, mailing or term address (if applicable).
  3. Complete the online registration process, answering all questions regarding personal information and contact details.
  4. If the details entered match those held by TAFE, and you complete the registration process successfully, a User ID and temporary password will be emailed to you in two separate emails. Please contact BNIT if you do not receive these emails. You will only need to register for access once.
  5. If you do not have an email address recorded by TAFE, or if any of the entered details do not match TAFE records, you will not be able to register for access. Contact our Customer Service Contact Centre on 131 248 for assistance.

  • If you've already registered for the service but you aren't sure how to log in, refer to the guide 'How to log on to the Student Self Service website' below.
  • If you've forgotten your password or can't remember if you have registered before, try the 'Forgotten Password' option to have a new temporary password sent to your registered email address.

How to log on to Student Self Service:

If you have not accessed the service before, register for Student Self Service as per the instructions above to receive your User ID and temporary password before you attempt to logon to this site. Once you have these details follow the steps below to log in:

  1. Go to TAFE Queensland - Self Service.
  2. Select the 'Log On' Button that is located under the Student Logon heading.
  3. Enter your User ID (Student Number) and password.
  4. Read the Terms and Conditions and tick the checkbox to acknowledge acceptance.
  5. Click the 'Log On' button to log on to Student Self Service.

When you log on to the Student Self Service website for the first time, you will be prompted to select a new password - please note that each time you add a new password it will be valid for a 30 day period, at the end of which it will expire and must be replaced. Once you have selected a password you will be returned to the login page. Once changed, please allow 30 seconds for your new password to take effect before logging-in.

Enrolling online via Student Self Service:

Online enrolments are available through Student Self Service for the majority of BNIT programs.

Students must ensure that they have read all of the terms and conditions for enrolment prior to enrolling online.
