Pathways to University

Brisbane North Institute of TAFE (BNIT) has established links with many universities enabling graduating diploma and advanced diploma students credit toward their degree qualification. This provides a considerable saving to the student in both time and money.

Improve your Tertiary Entrance Rank

By completing a diploma program at BNIT a student will enhance their ranking and may become eligible for entry into a degree program. Up to twelve months credit may be given toward the degree program for the completed diploma study.

Reduce your study time and your cost of study

A student who completes a diploma will qualify for entry into a corresponding degree program and receive credit toward that degree program. As most TAFE programs are government subsidised, choosing this option represents a significant saving.

Gain a dual award - study a combined diploma and degree program

A student can choose one of the dual awards from the list below and apply through QTAC for this program. Having been accepted into this program, the student will complete the diploma level studies and then continue with bachelor studies.  Once again this option will benefit the student with significant savings.
