Horticulture and environment

BNIT's horticulture and environment programs provide you with the opportunity to study aspects of horticulture in landscape, parks and gardens, nursery, turf/green keeping and floriculture.

BNIT also provides apprenticeship and traineeship training, and licencing qualifications in these areas.

Short course study options also include organics, nursery propagation and testing and sustainable horticulture.

Career opportunities

Many opportunities exist in horticulture and environment related fields as a result of undertaking one of our study programs. You could work as a:

  • Gardener
  • Greenkeeper
  • Turf Industry employee
  • Or alternatively you could pursue a career in a nursery or as a Horticulturist

We can also assist you with licensing requirements in the pest management field and for operating load shifting equipment.

If you work in pest management, we offer the necessary training that is required to meet Queensland Health Licensing requirements.
