Meet our trainers

At BNIT, many of our training programs provide quality education facilitated by workplace trainers who are all industry professionals in their respective fields as well as an integral part of our teaching team. This means students, trainees and apprentices learn from the experts and receive the best possible outcomes for their individual training experience. We invite you to meet our trainers.

Franca McCabe

Franca McCabe

Business Administration Workplace Trainer

'I have over 20 years of experience in the business sector across a number of industries. At BNIT I work closely with our business administration trainees and their employers to ensure that the trainees progress and have a clear understanding of what they are studying. I also facilitate traineeships across several business qualifications that may have more than one teacher. This ensures that the trainee has continuity with BNIT and they don't get lost in the system.

When working with trainees, we align the training plan to correlate with duties in the workplace, allowing the trainee to relate what they are studying directly to their employment. It is important that our training is relevant (and current!) to make sure that the trainees become a productive member of their team.

I often see people who were very unsure of 'going back to school', really become a valued member of their own teams because they have gained so much confidence and knowledge during their studies.

At BNIT I have been very fortunate to be part of teams with very dedicated people who, I can say without hesitation, have high professional standards and consistently work over and above what is required of them to ensure our clients are satisfied. Our team members have a variety of business backgrounds so together we can relate to our clients' needs and provide the best service around! The consistent positive feedback that we've received from clients and repeat business has proven this over and over again.'

Toni Connolly

Human Resources (HR) Workplace Trainer

'I have worked at BNIT on and off for more than 19 years. I previously worked as a high school teacher, an administration officer, computer trainer and a waitress. I think my life experience brings a lot of experience to my role at BNIT.

My role at BNIT as a trainer in human resources involves a variety of different tasks and settings including assessing people mostly on-the-job, running corporate workshops and marking. I get to meet a lot of different people and visit a lot of different work sites which is really interesting.

It is very rewarding to see people who may have been working in their industry for years finally getting recognised and receiving their qualification for the skills they have.'

Training and Assessment Facilitator

'I have more than 12 years' experience of training and assessments in corporate, non-profit and government organisations in both South Africa and Australia. I have worked with people from all walks of life and all levels of education and mediated many active learning processes within the education framework in South Africa.

My love for training started when I worked with an international Children's Rights organisation where I was exposed to the world of poverty alleviation, capacity building and integrated development projects.

We have a great TAE team at BNIT; our team has a passion for training and educating within the VET sector. My current work outside of BNIT, in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, enables me to keep my skills current with exposure to a great mix of clients and industries.

I would recommend BNIT as it has great facilities with trainers who are all subject matter experts within their industries and have current experience.'

'I have more than 11 years of experience in the vocational educational and training sector, having worked with government and corporate clients in Australia and China. I hold a Bachelor of IT majoring in Scientific Computing and Master of Project Management.

My experience includes administering training and assessment programs with the education, health, engineering, construction and maintenance industries. Most recently I have provided training to a group of skilled migrant engineers in the successful management and delivery of projects.

I enjoy working with people of diverse backgrounds and using the highest training techniques to help both the individual and organisation successfully expand and grow.'
